Clock Problem: A little past 3pm a man decided to take a 20-minute coffee break

A little past 3pm a man decided to take a 20- minute coffee break. When he returned, the minute hand was as much ahead of the hour hand as it was before behind it .what was the time when he decided to take a break?

Horsepower Required and Speed

Calculate the HP needed to transport a steel bucket weighing 66,759 kg supported a 703 meter stainless steel cable at a steep incline of 84 degrees.

The trip could not take more than 10 minutes.

Advanced Engineering Mathematics

This is for Inverse Laplace Transform.

What will the Region of Convergence (Pole-zero plot) look like if the pole is equal to zero? The zeroes or the numerator has values but the poles or the denominator is just s.

analytic Geometry

A line segment has its end on the coordinates axes and forms with then a triangle of area to 36 units. The segment passed through the point (5,2)
a). Compute the length of the line segment intercepted by the coordinates axes.
b). What is the slope of the line segment
c). compute the length segment

check my solution: $\displaystyle \int \dfrac{(6x^2 - 3x + 1) dx}{(4x + 1)(x^2 + 1)}$

hey...can anyone here check my solution to the problem??not sure whether I got it correctly and do not want to pay https://www.chegg.com/ or http://yourhomeworkhelp.org for the thing I practically did myselftask.jpgthanks

Laplace Transform: (t sin(at) cos(bt))^2

How can I laplace transform this (t sin(at) cos(bt))2

Restrained Beams Deflection

I have a question regarding Problem 719. I've got the correct answer for solving for R. But when i try to solve using my own way of solving the midspan deflection, my answer is wrong. So i consult your solution. Although your answer is the same as in the textbook, I was confused why the tangent line was drawn from B which is by inspection, the tangent line drawn from a fixed end is horizontal.

Thank you for your response.

Dynamics Kinematics

please help!

A ball is thrown down the incline strikes it a a distance s = 254.5 ft. If the height h = 64 ft. above the point of release, compute its initial velocity abd inclination theta.

(there is a given 3 for opposite, 1 for adjacent)

DYNAMICS

A balloon rises from the ground with a constant acceleration of 4ft per sec^2. Five seconds later, a stone is thrown vertically up from the launching site. What must be the minimum initial velocity of the stone for it to just touch the balloon? Note that the balloon and stone have the same velocity at contact.
