Problem 11 - Variation of Pressure

Problem
A pressure gage on the discharge side of a pump reads 300 kPa. Oil (sp gr 0.82) is being pumped. Compute the pressure head in meters of oil.

$h = \dfrac{p}{\gamma} = \dfrac{300}{0.82(9.81)}$

$h = 37.3 \, \text{m of oil}$           answer
