Forum Rules

Our forum conversation is visible to international audience now and in the future. We need to implement strictly the following guidelines to maintain the usefulness of this site. These rules can be changed without prior notice and we reserve all the rights to interpret these rules.

You will be treated here as though you have read and understood these Forum Rules (even if you haven't) so we advise you to spend a few minutes reading it now. Your continued participation anywhere on this site means that you agree to what is written here.

  1. Search before you post
Use the search bar before posting. Chances are your question has already been answered.

  2. Observe netiquette
Lurk and get to know the forum before you post.

  3. Be on topic
Post outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved, locked or simply be deleted.

  4. Start your own question
Do not mess an existing conversation by inserting your own question in the reply. Start a new thread for your own question.

  5. Be a real person
Be nice and talk as a person. Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member, use the private messaging to resolve the dispute.

  6. Do not spam
    Blatant advertising will be deleted.

  7. No to illegal activities
No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature (e.g. anything you don't own and/or have downloaded), asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated.

  8. Post one question once
No cross posting. Post your message once, to the appropriate forum and nowhere else or it will be locked or deleted without warning.

  9. Be creative
Use a title that describes the content of your post. Do not use generic title like "name of subject", "title of a topic", etc. Do not make a title containing phrases like "please help", "please answer", etc. Such posts may be deleted without warning.

  10. Don't post just for the sake of posting
Don't post just to increase your number of posts. If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post.

  11. Our official language is English
Using your native tongue is so inconsiderate to readers from outside your country. Non-English posts and comments may be deleted without warning.

  12. One account per person
Do not create multiple accounts, it will be a ground for immediate account deletion.

  13. Politics and religion
Avoid political and religious discussion, these topics has no place in our forums.

  14. Say thank you? Use the thumbs-up button instead
Don't do a response just to say thank you. Click the thumbs-up icon to vote it instead. Saying thank you is nice and flattering but we need to maintain a clean forum that is useful not only for the participants but also to readers and next generation readers.

  15. Don't shout to us
In online forums, writing in ALL CAPS is equivalent to shouting and is considered rude. We can still hear you loud and clear in proper capitalization. Posts written in this way and in any special characters to draw attention may be deleted without warning.

  16. Do not demand
We are here for enjoyable conversation and no one is under any obligation to answer any question. If you cannot receive immediate response to your post, maybe no one is interested or maybe no one has the time when you want them. Don't answer your own post just to bump it on top unless you have additional useful input.

  17. One problem per thread
Do not post several questions in one thread, you will not receive a good response in doing so. You are also like giving a sort 1 to 10 exam to the readers; "Hey, take this exam and submit it after 1 hour".
