Site Roles and Access Permission

Understanding MATHalino Site Roles

There are several roles in this site, each with different access permission. Below are roles with increasingly higher level of permission.

1. Anonymous
2. Unverified
3. Verified
4. Trusted
5. VIP Learner
6. Mentor
7. Pro Mentor
8. Moderator
9. Admin

Anonymous

You browse our pages anonymously if you don't login to the site. All you can do is view pages that are publicly available.
 

Unverified

Aka "pending registration". Your account is unverified if you register to us but did not respond yet to the system email sent to your address upon registration. You have no permission yet to participate in any conversation. Despite the limitations, you are given the permission to do the following.

1. Participate in the voting system by giving rates to posts and comments.
2. Download files attached to a posts that are visible to public.

Verify your account within 2 days, otherwise, the system will delete your pending registration. In the event that you fail to verify your email account within 2 days, you can register again, but this time, make sure to click the verification link sent from our system to your email address. Check your Inbox and also your Spam folder. In rare occasions, our emails goes to your Spam folder.
 

You can bypass this access level by logging in using your Facebook account.
 

Verified

There are two ways to become a verified user.

1. Login with your FB account. This is the easiest way, and instant upon login.
2. If you register to us not by your FB account, you will be assigned to Unverified user. Go to the email you used to register and look for the email from MATHalino. In that email., you are given an instruction with a one time login link to verify your account.

All verified users can participate in our discussion but all submitted contents and comments are moderated before publication.
 

Verified users are allowed to:

• Participate in voting
• Post a forum content
• Comment to any content
• Enroll to our Online Course
• Take a Quiz
• Download .pdf files

Note however that comments and posts are queued for approval.
 

Trusted

Accumulate at least 100 Points to become a Trusted user. See How to earn MATHalino Points. Note that this site is highly moderated and we only give this role to those who earned at least 100 Points.
 

As a trusted user, you have the following privileges:

1. All access privileges of Verified users
2. Post a blog content.
3. Comments and forum posts are published instantly. Yes, no more moderation for your comments and forum posts.
4. No more CAPTCHA challenge. Yes, that "I'm not a robot" thing.

VIP Learner (Deprecated)

Mentor

The access level of Mentors is similar to Trusted users with the following addition:

1. Minimal to no ads.
2. Additional HTML tag permission.

We are very thankful that you are sharing your knowledge to other members, we know this role upgrade is not much but we hope you like it as a token of our appreciation.
 

Pro Mentor

Pro Mentors are users showing authority and with strong grip on any one or more subjects. In addition to the access level of a Mentor, Pro Mentor accounts had the following site privileges:

1. Publish blog post without moderation.
2. Write a Book page
3. Create Exams.
   If you need help in creating your Exams, ask for assistance from the site Admin.
4. May accept tutorial payments from VIP Learners (at its early stage of development - not yet implemented)

Moderator

Moderators are site police, they usually operate in stealth mode and don't participate in the discussion. Most of our moderators are family and friends of Jhun Vert, the founder of this site.
 

We are working to create a community-based moderators. This role is under heavy development. Once done, moderators are recognized with a badge.
 

Admin

Overall site administrator.
